Rolling Machine Processing

The main process flow of roll forming includes three steps: pretreatment, roll forming, and post-treatment.

1. Pretreatment

Pretreatment is the first step in roll forming. Its purpose is to improve the plasticity of the metal material and reduce stress and energy consumption during the roll forming process. Pretreatment can employ methods such as heat treatment, chemical treatment, and mechanical treatment to bring the metal material to a suitable state for roll forming.

2. Roll Forming

Roll forming is the core step of the entire process. This step involves deforming the metal material using roll forming equipment. The shape and arrangement of the rollers determine the deformation mode of the metal material, and the rolling pressure determines the degree of deformation. During roll forming, sufficient cooling and lubrication of the rollers, workpiece, and lubricant are required to reduce friction and heat generation, thereby improving processing results and production efficiency.

3. Post-treatment

Post-treatment is the final step in roll forming. Its purpose is to shape, adjust, and repair the finished product. Post-treatment can employ methods such as heat treatment, machining, and surface treatment to ensure the finished product meets the required precision, surface finish, and mechanical performance requirements.
