The steel plate has the following characteristics: good impact resistance, small temperature deformation, good welding performance, good fatigue resistance, good anti-layer cracking performance, micro-alloying, high purity, low carbon equivalent, strong sulfur and hydrogen resistance.
ASTM A516 GR70 is a carbon steel plate for medium and low temperature pressure vessels, and there is no corresponding national standard of vessel steel. It includes carbon steel, carbon manganese steel, microalloyed steel, low-alloy high-strength steel and low-temperature steel. The operating temperature is generally -20℃ to 500℃, and individual can reach 560℃.
SA516Gr70 is a carbon steel plate for medium and low temperature pressure vessels and complies with ASME standards. It differs from SA516Gr60 in tensile strength.

SA516Gr70 Chemical composition（%）:C≤0.30, Mn: 0.79-1.30, P≤0.035, S: ≤0.035, Si: 0.13-0.45.
Delivery status: Thickness ≤1.5in (40mm) steel plate is usually delivered in rolled state, can be ordered normalizing or stress relief or normalizing plus stress relief state delivery, thickness > 1.5in (40mm) steel plate should be normalized.
SA516Gr70 is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, power station, boiler and other industries, for the production of reactors, heat exchangers, separators, spherical tanks, gas tanks, liquefied gas tanks, nuclear reactor pressure shells, boiler drum, liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, hydropower station high-pressure water pipes, water turbine vortexes and other equipment and components.
